Custom Sheet Metal Fabrication
Fabricated Weldments
We produce custom welded sheet metal assemblies for equipment manufacturers that need repeatable quality across prototypes and low-volume runs. Projects typically combine laser-cut or punched parts with welding, hardware insertion, and finishing to create enclosures, frames, chassis, and machine bases.
- Prototype lead time
- 3–12 working days
- Production runs
- 10–25 days
- Quote turnaround
- 2 business days
Welding Processes We Run Daily
All welders work to drawings that specify weld size, type, and finish. We maintain separate cells for stainless and carbon steel to prevent cross-contamination.
TIG Welding
Handles visible seams on stainless steel and aluminum where appearance matters.
MIG / MAG
Covers thicker carbon steel sections and structural joints.
Laser Welding
Supports thin-gauge stainless with minimal distortion.
Spot Welding
Joins overlapping panels quickly for electrical enclosures and cabinets.
Materials and Thickness Range
Typical part thickness for welded assemblies falls between 1.5 mm and 8 mm, though we accept requests outside this range when the design justifies it.
| Material | Grades | Max Thickness |
|---|---|---|
| Stainless | SUS304, SUS316, SUS430 | up to 20 mm |
| Carbon steel | SPCC, Q235, Q355 | up to 25 mm |
| Aluminum | 5052, 6061, 5754 | up to 16 mm |
| Copper and brass | For electrical or thermal components | On request |
Quality Controls for Welded Parts
ISO 9001:2015 certification covers the full flow from incoming sheet to final packaging.
- Every weldment passes through FAI before series production.
- Weld penetration, distortion, and cosmetic appearance checked against customer samples or photos.
- CMM and 2.5D vision systems verify critical dimensions after welding and any post-weld machining.
- Material certificates, weld procedure records, and coating reports supplied on request.
When Fabricated Weldments Fit Your Project
This service suits assemblies that combine multiple flat parts into a single rigid structure. If your design requires more than five separate sheet metal parts or includes internal brackets and mounting points, welding usually reduces part count and assembly time compared with fasteners alone.
We do not accept projects that are primarily machined from solid plate or heavy structural steel sections outside our 2000 × 4000 mm sheet limit.
Moving From Prototype to Repeat Orders
Prototype orders start at one piece with lead times of 3–12 working days. Once the design is approved, the same tooling and fixtures support 10–25 day production runs. This continuity removes the need to requalify a new supplier when volumes increase.
-
Step 01
Prototype
Start from one piece, produced against your approved drawings and checked via FAI.
-
Step 02
Design Approval
Tooling and fixtures are locked in once the design is confirmed.
-
Step 03
Repeat Production
The same setup supports 10–25 day runs, so no new supplier requalification is needed as volumes grow.
