Custom Sheet Metal Fabrication
Custom Sheet Metal Machine Covers for Industrial OEMs
Industrial equipment requires protection that is as precise as the machinery it houses. Rapidsheetfab manufactures custom sheet metal machine covers, enclosures, and chassis for OEMs in automation, robotics, and energy sectors. We bridge the gap between initial NPI prototyping and consistent, repeat production, ensuring your equipment meets both functional and aesthetic standards.
- Prototype Lead Time
- 3–12 days
- Material Thickness
- 0.5–12mm
- Quality System
- ISO 9001:2015
Precision Fabrication for Machine Enclosures
Machine covers must do more than simply fit; they must integrate with your hardware, handle thermal requirements, and protect internal components from environmental factors. We utilize a multi-process approach to convert your engineering drawings into finished assemblies.
Fiber Laser Cutting
High-speed, high-precision cutting for complex profiles.
CNC Press Brakes
Multiple stations allow for complex bends and internal flanges that maintain structural rigidity.
Hardware Insertion
Automated installation of PEM studs, standoffs, and nuts, reducing your secondary assembly time.
Welded Assemblies
TIG, MIG, and laser welding for high-strength, leak-proof, or aesthetically smooth seams.
Technical Capabilities and Material Range
Our facility is equipped to handle standard industrial materials, providing the material certificates and traceability required for OEM documentation.
| Process | Capacity | Typical Tolerance |
|---|---|---|
| Laser Cutting | Up to 25mm (Carbon Steel) | ±0.10 mm |
| Bending | Up to 230T / 3000mm | ±0.20–0.30 mm |
| Punching | Precision Holes & Louvers | ±0.10–0.20 mm |
| Material Thickness | 0.5mm – 12mm | Varies by gauge |
Supported Materials
- Stainless Steel SUS304, SUS316, SUS430
- Carbon Steel SPCC, Q235, Q355
- Aluminum 5052, 6061, 5754
- Others Copper C1100, Brass H62
Engineering-Driven Production
We review your drawings before production begins. If a design creates potential manufacturing bottlenecks or unnecessary costs, we provide Design for Manufacturing (DFM) feedback early in the process. This prevents quality issues during the transition from prototype to batch production, ensuring your machine covers are ready for assembly the moment they arrive at your facility.
Quality Control and Documentation
For industrial projects, the paperwork is as critical as the part. We operate under an ISO 9001:2015 certified system. Every project follows a structured flow from First Article Inspection (FAI) to final OQC.
- Inspection Reports: dimensional reports using CMM and 2.5D vision systems.
- Traceability: material certificates and RoHS/REACH documentation available upon request.
- Cosmetic Standards: surface finishes including powder coating, anodizing, and plating managed through qualified partners for consistent appearance and corrosion resistance.
Prototype to Production Continuity
We support NPI cycles by providing one-piece prototypes with a lead time of 3–12 working days. By utilizing the same equipment and setup parameters for your prototype as we do for your production runs, we ensure that the quality you approve at the start is exactly what you receive in your 50th or 500th unit. This continuity eliminates the risk of design drift between project phases.
