Custom Electrical Boxes Built for Industrial Equipment
Rapidsheetfab fabricates electrical boxes and enclosures to customer drawings in stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum. We handle one-piece prototypes through ongoing production runs with consistent dimensional control and export-ready documentation.
Sheet Metal Processes for Enclosure Construction
Electrical boxes require accurate flat patterns, clean edges, and repeatable bends. Each step is controlled to keep connector openings, vents, and formed seams consistent across the run.
Fiber Laser Cutting
Produces openings for connectors and vents without secondary operations on most materials.
CNC Press Braking
Forms flanges and seams to ±0.20–0.30 mm for repeatable box geometry.
Assembly & Welding
Tapping, PEM insertion, and spot or TIG welding complete the assembly before finishing.
Materials Selected for Electrical Applications
Thickness range covers 0.8 mm through 3 mm for most NEMA-style and custom boxes, with capability up to 12 mm on larger frames.
- SUS304 / SUS316 Corrosion resistance for indoor and outdoor panels.
- SPCC/CRS · SGCC For painted control cabinets.
- 5052 / 6061 Al When weight reduction matters.
- Copper C1100 Where conductivity or EMI shielding is specified.
In-House Capabilities Applied to Boxes
5
Fiber lasers cutting sheets up to 2000 × 4000 mm
7
CNC press brakes, lengths to 3000 mm at 230 T
M2–M12
In-house tapping with hardware insertion
Multiple
Welding stations, plus deburring and brushing
Parts then move to qualified finishing partners for powder coating or passivation.
Quality Flow and Documentation
Every order follows IQC, FAI, IPQC, FQC, and OQC checkpoints. CMM and 2.5D vision systems verify critical dimensions. The facility operates under ISO 9001:2015.
Documentation Provided
- — First-article reports
- — Material certificates
- — RoHS / REACH declarations on request
Prototype to Low-Volume Continuity
Prototype electrical boxes are typically completed in 3–12 working days. Once approved, the same tooling and programs support small batches and regular production. One-piece MOQ removes the need to change suppliers when volumes increase.
Prototype
3–12 days
One-piece builds to validate fit and function.
Small Batch
10–15 days
Same tooling and programs after approval.
Regular Production
15–25 days
Ongoing runs with consistent dimensional control.
Finishing and Assembly Options
Powder coating, anodizing, electropolishing, screen printing, and laser marking are managed through qualified partners. We coordinate these steps so finished assemblies ship with gaskets, hinges, or mounting hardware installed when drawings specify.
Project Types We Support
- — Wall-mount and floor-stand control enclosures
- — Junction boxes with welded seams and formed louvers
- — Rack-mount chassis requiring precise hole patterns and card guides
- — Welded frames with integrated back panels for automation cabinets
Submit Drawings for Review
Send PDF or native CAD files along with material, finish, and quantity details. Our engineering team returns DFM notes and a firm quotation within one business day for most electrical box projects.
Drawings in STEP, SolidWorks, or DXF with material callouts, finish specifications, and quantity forecasts receive priority review.
