Custom Sheet Metal Fabrication for Industrial OEMs
Custom Sheet Metal Protective Shields
We cut, form, weld, and finish protective shields for industrial OEMs that need repeatable parts from one-off prototypes into regular production runs.
Material and Thickness Choices
Protective shields typically use 1.5 mm to 6 mm material. We match the alloy to the environment and the load case.
Stainless Steel
SUS304 and SUS316 for corrosion resistance in wash-down areas.
Aluminum
5052 and 6061 where weight matters.
Carbon Steel
SPCC and Q235 for structural covers.
Copper and Brass
Available when electrical shielding or conductivity is required.
Cutting and Feature Accuracy
Five fiber lasers handle sheets up to 2000 × 4000 mm. Standard laser tolerance is ±0.10 mm, covering slots, ventilation patterns, mounting holes, and access cutouts without secondary drilling on most shields.
- Slots and ventilation patterns
- Mounting holes and access cutouts
- Secondary drilling avoided on most shields
Forming and Edge Work
Seven CNC press brakes reach 230 t and 3000 mm length. We hold ±0.20–0.30 mm on bends. CNC punching adds louvers, dimples, and stiffening forms.
After forming we deburr, brush, or apply light grain finishes in-house before any outside coating.
Joining Methods for Enclosed Shields
TIG and MIG Welding
Produce clean seams on visible faces.
Spot Welding and Rivet Nuts
Handle internal brackets.
PEM Hardware and Tapping
PEM inserts from M2 to M12; tapped holes where threads are needed.
Laser Welding
Used on thin stainless where heat distortion must stay low.
Finishing Routes and Documentation
Powder coating, anodizing, passivation, and electropolishing are handled by qualified partners.
Documentation with every batch
- Material certificates
- RoHS/REACH statements
- Dimensional reports
Volume Flexibility

15–25 daysThe same process sheets and fixtures stay in place from first article through later orders.
Common Shield Configurations
Equipment builders order machine guards, control-cabinet side panels, robot cell barriers, laser-enclosure skirts, and electrical-box covers. Most projects combine cutting, bending, welding, and hardware insertion in one order.
RFQ Submission
Send PDF, DXF, or STEP files with material, finish, and quantity notes. We review for DFM points and return a quote with lead-time options.
Direct questions on tolerances or weld specs go to the same engineering contact who handles the order.
